RTCU Platform SDK (Version 2.00)

The RTCU M2M Platform is designed to be as open, adaptable and programmable as possible. For most applications the power and flexibility offered with the RTCU IDE are sufficient to realize the most advanced M2M applications, but for applications, which require a deeper customization the RTCU M2M Platform SDK is available.

With the RTCU M2M Platform SDK it is possible to expand the platform on the Linux system level with so called Platform Extensions. The SDK includes many working examples of Platform Extensions.
        
The RTCU M2M Platform SDK is for advanced developers and requires experience with C and Linux system development.

RTCU Communication Hub (Version V1.04)

The RTCU Communication Hub is a managed middleware service that enables reliable and secure bi-directional communication between RTCU devices installed in the field and the application back-end infrastructure.

The RTCU Communication Hub works over any TCP/IP based communication channel, whether it is behind a NAT firewall or a dynamic IP address schema. For full flexibility, it can be installed on-premises or in the cloud.

RTCU Communication Hub Plug-in Developers Kit (Version 1.10)

The RTCU Communication Hub Plug-in Developers Kit is required for development of plug-ins for the RTCU Communication Hub.        
   
A plug-in is a software component that, extends the RCH with new functionality. It makes it for example possible to control, which nodes are allowed to establish a connection with the RTCU Communication Hub, connect and disconnect event can be received and node mapping is possible.

RTCU Deployment Server (Version 5.50)

The RTCU Deployment Server (RDS) offers sophisticated features for maintaining application/firmware etc. in a large scale installation of RTCU devices remotely connected to the RTCU Communication Hub.

The RTCU Deployment Server can be configured by the user to ensure that the specified devices are operating with the correct firmware, application or generic files. The RTCU Deployment Server will automatically ensure that the devices are upgraded as requested and this task will take place during FULL operation of the device. Any interruption in an the upgrade attempt will be automatically handled and resumed to avoid any waste of expensive bandwidth.

RTCU Deployment Server API (Version 3.00)

The RTCU Deployment Server API package allows control of the  RTCU Deployment Server from within a user written application.

The library provides access to the full functionality offered in the  RTCU Deployment Server Manager application allowing tight and automated interaction between back-end server applications and the RDS.

RTCU Communication Hub Demonstration Package (Version 3.01) 

Demonstration package for using the RTCU Communication Hub.
This package includes a complete example showing how to develop applications that utilize the RTCU Communication Hub. The content consists of an RTCU application and a back-end PC application developed in Microsoft Visual Studio C/C++.
The package includes a library, VSMSGW.DLL, which makes communication through the RTCU Communication Hub from a server application very easy.

Using VSMSGW.DLL from C#  (Version 3.00)

This package demonstrates how the VSMSGW.DLL library, as included in the RTCU Communication Hub Demonstration Package, can easily be called from C#.  Includes a small C# project that demonstrates how to send/receive VSMS messages using the described technique.

Vehicle Tracking Demo Package (Version 3.01)

This is a simple vehicle tracking demonstration project that consists of an RTCU application, and a Windows application. Demonstrates how to send and receive VSMS messages over the RTCU Communication Hub. This demo uses the VSMSGW.DLL library from the RTCU Communication Hub Demonstration Package.

Advanced Vehicle Tracking Demo Package (Version 2.11)

This is an advanced Vehicle Tracking Demo with many features, including:

RTCU Programming tool (Version 8.40)

Stand-alone tool for managing RTCU units without using the more powerful RTCU IDE. The tool allows common unit tasks such as transferring applications and firmware locally and remotely.

RTCU Communication Support Package - CSP (Version 4.54)

A complete Communication Support Package (RTCU CSP) for communication with RTCU devices using cable or the RTCU Communication Hub.

The package includes full support for background updates of application/firmware over cable, CSD (Data call), or the RTCU Communication Hub (FOTA).
During the upgrade, the application in the unit continues to run. Interrupted upgrade attempts can be resumed at the point of interruption.

There is full multi-session support allowing connection with multiple RTCU devices simultaneously using any combination of local and remote connections.

The functionality included in the package is comprehensive and well tested as this package is actually used in all Logic IO products including the RTCU IDE and RTCU Programming Tool.

The package includes a small x86 and x64 sample program and the source code for the RTCU Programming Tool (see above).

RTCU Communication Protocol Documentation Set

This protocol documentation set describes the protocols used for communicating with the RTCU devices using a serial line (cable or modem) or over a TCP/IP connection using the RTCU Communication Hub.

This Documentation Set is composed of the following three documents:

•  RTCU Gateway Protocol (V3.01).
•  RTCU Serial Line Remote Access Protocol (V2.20).
•  RTCU RACP Transaction Specification (V1.31).

RTCU Communication Hub Protocol Reference Implementation V7.00

This is the RTCU Communication Hub protocol (RACP2) reference implementation implemented in standard C and delivered as a buildable Visual Studio 2019 C/C++ project.
To understand this implementation, and for further information about the Gateway Protocol, please consult the "RTCU Gateway Protocol" document as part of the "RTCU Communication Protocol Documentation Set" (see above).

The implementation is made with a focus on portability as all platform-dependent  features, such as creating a thread and a semaphore, are defined by easy-to-implement standard C macros.
